"Die achte Emission mit ANT : ist Anfange 306 entstanden; dies bezeugen die Serie des Constantius Chlorus, der mitte des Jahres starb, und jene des Severus Caesar, da er eben dann Augustus wurde. Anderszeits gibt es weder einen Severus Aug. noch einen Constantinus Magnus aus der früheren Emission (ANT dot).
Eben diese achte Emission ist die letzte mit dem vollen Gewicht. Severus hat von den nun folgenden Mittelbronzen, die um ein Drittel des Gewichtes reduziert worden sind, kein Stück mehr geprägt (Taf. VII oberere Teil)."
